After a long day of walleye charter fishing, we cleaned up and visited 1812 Food & Spirits. Great atmosphere, it was clean, the drinks were excellent thanks to Kim, one of the bar tenders. The lady had walleye and I had a pork ribeye. Both were absolutely cooked to perfection! What a great place! We'll be back!

Everything was amazing! I got the 1812 chicken, best chicken I have ever had. Shay was an awesome waiter! My brother in law got the filet Mignon, was cooked perfectly. House bread & house dressing was very good. Husband had beet salad & lamb lollipops. Yummy! Their 1812 potatoes are really good too! Loved it! Sorry we didn't get any pics...we were too hungry. Bread pudding is absolutely delicious, along with their Creme Brule & a humongous piece of Carrot cake. Oh so good!

Let me get straight to the point. I came here because I saw a picture of their carrot cake. However I will start at the beginning of dinner. This is a very nice establishment. Everybody was well dressed, the facility was very clean and the staff was great. The overall cost made me skip a appetizer. For the first time in years I got prime rib, it was outstanding. The horseradish will make you cry, I loved it. The 1812 potatoes were spot on. The Cajun shrimp risotto was equally splendid, was not that spicy but had a good kick to it. The risotto was great tasting as well. The deserts had to be taken home. By the time I got home, it was time to dig in. The carrot cake was great, but the chocolate cake made the rest of the dinner worth the high price. This was more of splurge for us, and glad we did it.

Cozy atmosphere. Looks like newly painted and decorated which creates a warm dark atmosphere with candle light on each table. Service was impeccable. Waitress and host were super nice and fast! Food was fresh and plentiful. Happy hour from 4-6p was awesome and allowed for an economical dinner with generous portions.

Visiting from Cincinnati, a foodie town, and asked locals for recommendations; they were right! Awesome service, very good food and romantic atmosphere We were early as we had visited the islands all day and were very hungry so not very busy at 5:00 pm Will definitely come back if in the area again

1812 is my personal favorite restruant for special meals. I celebrated my birthday with my husband and son. I had the walleye dinner with Brussels sprouts and 1812 potatoes-delicious! I also love their carrot cake. One piece will serve 2-3 people. There is a back room which offers a more quiet seating. Servers are wonderful. And, Wednesday is half price night for wine.

Great service and food, enjoyed the patio and live music. Didn't have dessert but they looked excellent.
